By embedding Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) standards into the regulatory framework, Vietnam aims to enhance its global standing in digital assets. As the law prepares to come into effect, regulators will establish detailed licensing guidelines and compliance standards for crypto service providers to ensure security and proper governance. This comprehensive reform is anticipated to attract foreign investment and stimulate growth within the nascent digital industry in Vietnam. With crypto adoption anticipated to rise significantly, the Ministry of Finance and the State Bank of Vietnam are set to play key roles in the development of this new legal framework.
